Meet Your Guides

Growing up on the coast of Maine, one major perk was easy access to amazing climbing locations. We started our company with the idea of getting more people into the outdoors enjoying the activity we were most passionate about. Camden and Acadia are special places, we love having the chance to share a unique view of them with tourists and locals alike.

At the end of the day, we do what we do because we love climbing and we hope that once you give it a shot you will too.

See you on the rock!

Noah Kleiner

NOAH KLEINER

Noah Kleiner started climbing in 2006 during an orientation trip at College of the Atlantic. He fell in love with climbing and went on to become a licensed Maine Guide, Multi-pitch Instructor and Ice Instructor. He also has a Wilderness First Responder Certification from SOLO as well as an avalanche Education level one course through the American Institute for avalanche education. Climbing is not just the sport I am enamored with. it's my life, it taught me more things about myself than I will ever understand. Gratitude for this life is not a big enough word for what it has given me. I continue to grow and learn and challenge myself in the mental realm, challenging my beliefs but accepting the reality of the mountains in front of me. Before climbing, there was a mountain, while climbing, there is still a mountain, after climbing the mountain is still there. I live this every day and strive to see it for what it is. Life.

Ice Instructor

Owen Duda

Owen is a New Hampshire-based climber and an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor who is excited to be spending his time guiding on the cliffs of Maine this season. He is a recent graduate of Vermont State University, where he earned a B.S. in Outdoor Education, Leadership & Tourism. College was where he fell in love with climbing, and what allowed him to set a great foundation of skills and knowledge that he has now been able to bring into the field. With an abundant climbing resume in the Northeast, Owen has also spent time scaling heights in Washington State, Utah, Colorado, and Nevada. He is most excited to be spreading his love and knowledge of climbing to those who choose Equinox this season.

Elias Libby

Elias started climbing during his outdoor leadership class my junior year of high school and it just took off from there. Freshman year of college I got my climbing wall instructor certification and completed my single pitch instructor course; now I have the SPI certification on the horizon. Climbing for me started as a recreational activity but has developed into my lifestyle and hopefully will become a career. Sharing climbing is important to me and teaching people about this sport is the best way to grow the community and get people outside on rock. I have been living and breathing the outdoors my whole life and adding rock climbing to it was the last missing piece. Moving forward I can’t wait to share experiences and knowledge with everyone and just be outside in the beautiful state of Maine.

Gavin Spilling

I grew up in the Adirondacks of New York where I discovered my passion for the outdoors. I am currently a junior at Vermont State University and major in Outdoor Education Leadership and Tourism with a concentration in Adventure Education. Through this program, I grew my skills and knowledge as an outdoor leader as well as gained certifications like the AMGA Single Pitch Instructor. I have spent time climbing all over the Northeast and have spent time climbing in Nevada. I love the constant pursuit of learning and understanding in the outdoors and enjoy sharing my passion with others.

Cameron Pinchback

Cameron loves the beauty of rock climbing and the connection to nature it provides him. His first experiences in the Camden hills were being petrified as a three year old climbing up the access scramble to some of the real Barrettes climbs. In middle school he returned to the sport and climbing has now become a central facet of his life. After many experiences with Equinox and climbing/apprenticing with Noah he is super excited to join the Equinox family! Cameron has climbed all over the east coast but loves the Camden hills most of all. Along with a week long anchor and trad building course through IMCS in North Conway, Cameron is also a member of the Coastal mountain search and rescue team and is in the process of getting his BSAR, and hopes to become certified in Wilderness first aid this summer.
